Job Description:
VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialist is seeking a talented
Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team and take on a
leadership role as a Technician Supervisor, offering a unique
opportunity for personal growth and development.Schedule: Full-time
opportunity, 4 x 10 hour shifts, Monday-Thursday. Availability for
occasional weekend flexibility may be requiredCompensation: $32 -
36 / hour. Pay is dependent on experience and licensure. Sign-on
Bonus and Relocation Assistance up to $5000 available.In the
Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor Role your
responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Directing
workflow on the floorCultivate an inclusive work environment and
strong hospital cultureHelp with the interview process for
potential new hiresTechnician SchedulingAssists in staffing and
coverage where neededAssists in the educational development of
technicians and their skillsAssists in basic protocol and standard
procedure trainingProvide opportunities for staff to gain more
firsthand experienceEnsure that VCA policies, guidelines, and
recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical
staff.Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory
teams to aid in the progression of the hospitalProvide
opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experienceResolve
conflicts in a professional and humble mannerYou will work
alongside our Medical Director, Hospital Director, and Veterinary
Technician Managers to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs
efficiently, and foster a winning environment.Requirements: Must
have a current veterinary technician license in the state or
Oregon, or be eligible to transfer/obtain a license in Oregon.
Minimum of 5 years experience preferred. Must possess skills in
veterinary emergency and critical care nursing; organization and
planning; verbal, written, and presentation communication skills;
veterinary leadership, management, and supervision; and
