TITLE: Senior Executive Trust Officer DEPARTMENT: Executive Leadership REPORTS TO: CEO LOCATION: Administrative Office in Vancouver, WA HOURS: F ull-time STATUS: Non-Exempt, Salary, Permanent ABOUT US: InTRUSTment Northwest is a Washington State and Oregon Out-of-State Chartered Trust Company. We provide individual worth and dignity through trust and fiduciary services. The base annual salary range for this position is $80K - $84K. We hope to recruit new team members who will grow with the organization long-term. POSITION PURPOSE: The Senior Executive Trust Officer assumes complete responsibility for the oversight and management of trust relationships and accounts. The Senior Executive Trust Officer works with the Trust Officer Team, Financial Advisors, Legal and Tax partners to provide Intrustment's clients with excellent service. The Senior Executive Trust Officer will work with the CEO to bring in additional business. POSITION DUTIES: Senior Executive Duties Oversees Trust Relationships for the company in support of Intrustment Northwest's policies, goals, and objectives. Provides direct supervision and overall management of the Trust Officer Team. Develops and leads business development plans in collaboration with Senior Leadership. Through management of Trust Officers, assures that all client management services meet company standards, the contractual and legal requirements, and all established protocol. Adheres to all necessary controls, policies and procedures in a manner that supports the financial and accounting requirements of the company with an eye toward maintaining financial sustainability. Trust Officer Duties Assumes complete responsibility for the overall management of assigned clients as defined within the documents which govern their relationship. Practices professional standards and company protocols while managing the assigned client base. Serves as a resource and mentor for other Trust Officers. Meets with attorney's regarding new and current cases. Acts as authorized signer as per Limits of Authority for: Bank and investment account transactions Financial documents for bank and investment accounts Placement documents Medical treatment Provides oversight for client intake processes and holds authority in decision making for accepting new clients. Assists with new placement decisions for clients. Staff with Person Centered team to create work plans or establish plan of action. Attends court hearings/mediations as appropriate. Acts as liaison between the IRS and tax professionals for client. Carry's out client work plans specific to their needs and the trust or court documents. Coordinates services and is responsible for assigned clients across all areas of company operations as they apply to the client. Manages and coordinates with administrative support staff, assuring time management and economic efficiencies, through effective delegation and follow through. Maintains excellent client and interested party relationships with our company. Responds to the needs of other professionals associated with the client's case. Assures all appropriate information is accurate, available, and entered into electronic files. Reviews client's online financials, including banking and investments, monthly or to the degree that is necessary for quality services. Assures all documents, filings, accountings, etc. are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Identifies, marshals, and manages client assets. This includes but is not limited to marshalling bank accounts, safety deposit boxes, real properties, and personal possessions. Reviews and approves client distribution request. Meets with clients on a regular basis to assess needs and conditions of person and property. Oversees and/or responds to emails and phone calls within 48 hours from clients and other associated individuals. Represents Intrustment Northwest in the community through active involvement in professional associations and organizations. Participates in events as defined by the President and CEO, both during and after business hours. Other responsibilities as needed for the successful management of the client. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION (EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES): Minimum seven years of experience in the areas of trust administration, estate planning, administration or investments required. Experience with sales, increasing AUM, and business development required. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required, Master's degree preferred. Professional credentials in Trust Administration or Fiduciary Services (CTFA, CFP) preferred. Excellent analytical skills to understand complex trust agreements and understand the appropriate administration of these trusts. Ability to work independently, and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective negotiation skills. Planned and unplanned moderate business travel by car and/or public conveyance. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for the supervision of the overall management of Executive Trust Officers. In addition, the Senior Executive Trust Officer may directly supervise non-supervisory employees. The Senior Executive Trust Officer carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws.
