Overview:Holland Partner Group is seeking an experienced Project Accountant II to join our Construction & Development accounting team!The Project Accountant II is responsible for a variety of accounting and risk compliance functions within the construction and development accounting team promotes Holland's Core Values of Great People, Great Business, Deliver Exceptional Customer Service and Have Fun! This is an excellent opportunity to apply your talent, vision, drive, and experience to the Holland Team.Responsibilities:Review and process general job cost invoices and subcontractor billings accurately and timely.Review and process project related contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and other various agreements as required.Coordinate and prepare accurate project draw packages for submission to project teams and ownership entities for funding purposes.Prepare accurate project and Joint Venture financial statements.Review construction risk compliance documents including lien waivers, affidavits and preliminary notices.Prepare and distribute monthly construction and development accounting reports to various teams.Prepare partnership capital calls and distributions.Respond to year-end tax/audit requests as required.Communicate daily with construction and development team personnel, subcontractors and external vendors to field various project accounting questions.Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times.Conform to company apparel standards and set a positive example for all Associates.Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting strongly preferred.Experience: Two years' minimum experience in accounting required. Previous experience in real estate development and/or construction project accounting experience strong preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting may be considered in lieu of specified work experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks in a complex and fast-paced operating environment.Competency in Microsoft office. Yardi and/or Textura software preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.Knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, debits, credits, etc.).Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Ability to effectively work under pressure, reassess daily competing priorities and proactively meet cyclical deadlines.Must have excellent organizational skills.Attendance: This full-time position requires regular and punctual attendance compliant with the schedule set to meet company needs.
