Job Description Hawthorn Senior Living currently has an
immediate opportunity at our Vancouver, Washington office for a
full-time Staff Accountant II. Hawthorn Senior Living is a rapidly
growing senior housing company, managing independent living
retirement communities throughout the U.S. In this role, you will
be responsible for providing financial accounting reports for
Hawthorn Senior Living and related business entities in a
professional, accurate and timely manner. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
AND REQUIREMENTS - 2-3 years of experience in Accounting.
Bachelor's degree preferred. - Possess a working knowledge of
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). - Ability to
obtain a working knowledge of International Accounting Practices. -
Ability to analyze financial reports, identify areas of concern and
make recommendations to Accounting Manager and/or Controller. -
Understand accrual accounting. - Ability to obtain a working
knowledge of how other modules affect the general ledger. - Ability
to independently develop and complete projects. - Ability to manage
multiple priorities and meet departmental deadlines. - Detail
oriented with good organizational skills and proficiency in
problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal/written communication
and customer service skills. - Proficiency in computer use and
relevant software applications. Strong Excel knowledge. - Ability
