A company is looking for a Senior Combat Sports Editor.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team of combat sports writers; assign and edit stories
Develop content plans for the sport on a weekly, monthly, and
seasonal basis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for major initiatives and
engage in weekly brainstorming sessions for content ideas
Required Qualifications:
At least seven years of experience in digital sports
media/journalism
Deep knowledge of combat sports space, especially top MMA fighters
and other newsmakers
Strong news sense and AP style knowledge
Ability to write SEO- and social-friendly headlines
Experience managing reporters and developing story angles
