A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2024-2026 school year at a K-12 school located in Newberg, OR. This contract position starts ASAP and extends through June 5, 2026. The role requires onsite presence, with a standard 37.5-hour workweek. This opening includes six positions designed to serve a diverse student population with specialized educational and behavioral needs: 2 Elementary Developmental roles supporting 15 students each, along with 6 assistants. Focus areas include behavior, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and communication needs. 1 Elementary Behavior role for grades 3-5, supporting 16 students with a team of 5 assistants. 1 Middle School Resource role serving 40 students, sharing 2 assistants. 1 Elementary Resource position working across 2 sites (2 miles apart) with 35 students and an assistant in each building. 1 Middle School Behavior role for 15 students supported by 5 assistants. Key requirements for candidates include an active Special Education certification/license in Oregon and the ability to provide contact information for a recent supervisor reference. Responsibilities include delivering individualized instruction aligned with students IEPs, collaborating with teaching assistants and other school staff, managing classroom behavior effectively, and maintaining detailed records of progress and interventions.
