We strive to have a diverse workforce made up of people from all backgrounds, including minorities, women and veterans, who bring their experience to support the innovation and quality that Kyocera is known for.Kyocera International, Inc. also has a robust corporate culture and philosophy based on the experiences and writings of our founder, Dr. Kazuo Inamori, which you can learn more about here:https://global.kyocera.com/inamori/philosophy/.Our company motto is "Do the right thing as a human being," and we try to use that in our decision making constantly.REQUIREMENTSAA or AS degree highly preferred.Requires at least 4+ yrs of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a manufacturing/production environment.Ability to read, write and comprehend verbal as well as written instructions in English.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide all units of measure including common and decimal fractions.Ability to use a microscope, depending on the specific function.Ability to read blueprints/mechanical drawings, depending on the specific function.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.20/20 corrected vision - varies by divisionWillingness to wear finger cots, masks, and/or cleanroom apparel.Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods.Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop.Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands.Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs.Ability to manage projects and follow through on process improvement procedures.Intermediate computer skills including typing, excel and outlook.Knowledge of ceramic machining processing preferred.Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, Lean and Six Sigma Principles preferred.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrograms and calibrates measuring/test equipment, performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting.Installation of new or repaired equipment/gages or parts. Routine testing, calibration, and monitoring of equipment. Analysis and interpretation of testing result data. Troubleshooting when results fall out with the expected ranges. Repair of equipment when needed. Orders of gages and parts. Compilation of reports for facility management. Administrator of APE calibration system. Manage gage recall system. Works directly with, and trains manufacturing employees (operators, inspectors, and machinists) on the production floor.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThis position may require exposure to information subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
