Job Description:
We are seeking an individual to join our team doing Research and
development in the area of video coding, compression, processing
and streaming. You will actively participate in related
standardization forums including MPEG, ITU-T, JVET. Together with
co-inventors, you will work closely with legal staff to secure
patent protection. You will prepare, present, and defend formal
contributions at meetings of international standards organizations,
and help support Sharp---s positions in these meetings. In
addition, you will be doing measurement and assessment of algorithm
performance using both subject and objective metrics and
prototyping algorithm in C/ C++ / Python You will collaborate with
R&D teams at Sharp Labs of America and Sharp Japan to
communicate research results and define new requirements and
development targets.
