Job Description:
Job Description Job Description CNC Programmer Not a remote
role—and just to be clear, we CNC soft materials like foam, wood,
and plastics, not metal. At Axiom Custom Products, we design and
build things that don’t come out of a catalog. We work with
creative teams, event producers, retailers, and builders to bring
ideas to life—from early concepts all the way through fabrication
and installation. With a team of about 80 people and a whole lot of
digital manufacturing firepower, we’ve spent decades learning
(sometimes the hard way) how to make really good things. Our shop
moves fast, priorities shift, and every project is different, so
the people who thrive here are adaptable, collaborative, and
proactive problem-solvers. We’re looking for a CNC Programmer to
join our production team and play a key role in how our projects
come together. You’ll be programming and working directly with 3-,
5-, and 7-axis CNC routers, with opportunities to cross-train on a
press brake, a laser, or both if that’s your thing. You’ll take
engineered drawings and CAD models and turn them into clean,
efficient programs using Mastercam, Cabinet Vision, and
occasionally PowerMill—then see those programs through to finished
parts on the shop floor. This role isn’t just about sitting at a
computer. You’ll be involved in the full process: thinking through
machine capabilities, material behavior, tooling, cut order, and
speed, then making sure the parts coming off the machine meet our
quality standards. You’ll create clear run sheets, keep files
organized, and work closely with other departments to keep projects
moving. We care a lot about consistency, safety, and communication,
so you’ll be expected to follow established CNC standards, maintain
equipment, and help keep our CNC areas clean, organized, and
running smoothly. We’re looking for someone who knows their way
around CAD and CNC programming and understands best practices like
nesting, tooling choices, and efficient workflows. Experience with
Mastercam is ideal, and we’ll train you in Cabinet Vision and
eventually PowerMill. A solid understanding of materials like
plywoods, hardwoods, MDF, plastics, and similar substrates is
important, as is general fabrication knowledge. If you’re
organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and
good at troubleshooting when things don’t go as planned, you’ll fit
right in. You should also be open to forklift training and
certification and comfortable working in both an air-conditioned
office and an active shop environment. Bonus points if you’ve
worked with PowerMill or PowerMill Robot, have experience with
5-axis or 7-axis robotic systems like Royce or Kuka, or have run an
Amada press brake or Kern laser—but none of that is required to be
successful here. In return, we offer excellent pay and a strong
benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage
for employees, with options to add dependents. We offer both 401k
and ROTH investment options, and after your first year you’ll earn
20 days of PTO—yes, twenty—plus paid holidays. If you want to see
what we’re about, check out our capabilities at www.axiomcustom.com
and take a look at what we build on Instagram at
www.instagram.com/axiomcustom . We have a professional passion for
making interesting things and partnering with artists, designers,
and builders to create real-world moments that matter. Important
note: the office is dog friendly. If that sounds like something you
want to be part of, send us a resume and a short intro about why
you think you’d be a great fit—no formal cover letter needed. We’d
love to hear from you. The wage range for this role is $24–$32 per
hour, depending on experience. Powered by JazzHR 7PYyHlahvh
