VP PeaceHealth Medical Group Operations Columbia Network Job DescriptionDescription PeaceHealth is seeking a VP PeaceHealth Medical Group Operations Columbia Network for a Full Time, Day position.--JOB SUMMARY Accountable for PHMG Administrative Operations. Works closely with their dyad partner, VP/Medical Director, to lead initiatives and performance improvement in the assigned communities. Responsible for operational and financial performance of assigned areas. This role is responsible for contributing to the development of systemwide standards, strategies and objectives for operational, financial and clinical performance that align with PeaceHealth and PeaceHealth Medical Group's mission, vision and strategic goals. Responsible for carrying out clinical strategies and aligns the communities with identified system standards and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Leads in a matrixed organization, collaborates with system leaders, and participates in system-wide
  • groups (leadership teams, sub-committees, and/or councils) to identify and develop the PHMG operational, financial, and clinical strategies. May chair or co-chair a sub-committee and/or council.
  • Supports the goals and objectives of the PHMG Division Leads for Primary Care, Medical and Surgical specialties, by leading community/network caregivers to achieve desired clinical performance and patient experience outcomes.
  • Works closely with the VP/Medical Director, Division Chiefs, and leaders and caregivers to identify regional priorities implement regional initiatives, and to lead and ensure seamless PHMG integration with the community and networks of care.
  • Monitors and manages day-to-day operational performance, including the leadership of PHMG directors, managers and individual contributors.--
  • Fosters/ensures an environment of respect and collaboration.
  • Inspires leaders and caregivers by interpreting mission and vision of PHMG.
  • Is jointly accountable with their dyad partner for community/network clinical and operational performance, regional P&L, quality, patient satisfaction, provider and caregiver engagement and other relevant performance measures.
  • Understands caregivers needs for tools, technology and business intelligence.--
  • Acts as a spokesperson on behalf of community caregivers.
  • Facilitates the effective implementation in the community of any advances in tools, technology or intelligence.
  • Engages and inspires caregivers in the region. Earns the support and trust of colleagues across all specialties.
  • Integrates system-wide strategy with the network of care and the day-to-day realities of caregivers in the region.
  • Serves as a change agent in the development of a culture of compassion, safety, quality, performance and exceptional service.
  • Seeks and insists upon a culture of measurable outcomes and accountability.
  • Maintains an awareness of federal, state and city regulations and accreditation standards to ensure compliance.--
  • Leads caregivers in assigned areas to comply with policy and regulatory measures.
  • Facilitates resolution of conflicts, grievances, or highly charged situations as needed.
  • Informs system acquisition and merger strategy. Leads the integration of acquired groups into the community.
  • Oversees the administration of the PHMG Uniform Provider Compensation Program for assigned communities as delegated by the Board Compensation Sub-Committee. Ensures, and is accountable for compliance with the PHMG Uniform Compensation Plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
    EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Master's degree required or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the caregiver with the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the job. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
      • Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience is required in health care, to include a minimum of 3 years progressive leadership experience in a large multi-specialty medical group.
      • Experience with successful implementation of evidence-based protocols into clinical practice.
      • Experience in multi-site, multi-specialty medical groups and integration delivery system. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
        • ACHE or MGMA certification is desired. OTHER SKILLS:--
          • Ability to deliver financial results for areas of accountability.
          • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required.
          • Proven ability to conceptualize issues and develop strategic initiatives and solutions.
          • Ability to navigate a matrixed organization and develop relationship with multiple stakeholder groups.
          • Must possess exceptionally creative problem-solving skills.
          • Strong change management skills and ability to execute transformational change initiatives.
          • Strong patient focus orientation with service delivery requirements.
          • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
          • Ability to lead through vision, inspiration and common sense.
          • Strong understanding of principals of patient-centered care, physician compensation systems, medical technology including electronic medical records and quality/service improvement strategies.
