Let's work together.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:* 30% Proactively determine potential operational or financial risks to business lines; partner with business leaders to develop appropriate mitigation plans. Ensure control environment is properly designed and implemented and functioning as intended. Step in and lead high profile projects and resolve high-risk problems when critical deliverables are in danger.* 50% Support Quality Management strategy and operations where processes for financial, regulatory and operational efficiency and effectiveness are audited, analyzed and used to continuously improve business operations and inform business line strategies. Consult with and support design teams for business process development or improvement. Work closely with peers in Sales, Underwriting, and Customer Service, to foster teamwork, idea sharing and customer fulfillment.* 20% Responsible for the selection, development, motivation, appraisal and salary recommendations of direct reports. Assess skill level of technical and business staff, including remote employees, and counsel staff on appropriate development to assure skills evolve and meet changing work requirements. Foster a strong work environment with rewards based on The Standard's values and behaviors. Encourage creativity while maintaining high productivity and consistency.Job Specifications:Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Experience: 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a business environment. 5+ years of experience in audit (internal and/or external). Knowledge of control frameworks, risk analysis models, auditing standards and techniques. Advanced analytical and problem solving skills. Strong communication/ presentation skills, both written and oral. MS suite experience.
