As the global leader in Print, there remains significant growth for HP in the managed print market. To help accelerate that growth, HP launched Smart Device Services (SDS), a technology that combines HP's world-class office printing devices with the power of the cloud and data analytics to offer a disruptive value proposition to our channel and direct service providers. SDS utilizes big data and machine learning, combined with business acumen to differentiate HP's offerings in this space. Our Big Data strategy centers on expanding the acquisition of print usage data from the deployed printer fleet and pairing internal and external enrichment data sources. With this data paired with advanced analytics, SDS can provide service recommendations that can significantly reduce service costs on HP devices. We have an opportunity for either promotion or rotation in the Smart Fleet Solutions lab for a Program Manager to lead the Smart Device Services (SDS) program. This person will lead a cross-functional team of individuals to drive the SDS roadmap and work with the go to market teams to help drive adoption of SDS with our partners. The position is highly collaborative and requires agile leadership to prioritize and deliver while also needing an individual with the ability to set a strategic direction for the program. The program team is based in Boise, but collaborates with partners across the print organization. This person will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Responsibilities: * Manages and leads the SDS program, involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for SDS * Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for SDS * Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet program requirements and development schedule. * Primary liaison to internal SDS partners and stakeholders * Works with GTM organization to drive SDS adoption * Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules * Collaborates closely with Data, Sensing, Predictive team to prioritize & drive new breakthrough technology to improve the service experience * Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members. Education and Experience Required: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent. * PMP/PMI certification preferred. * Typically 8-12 years experience.
