Summary and Qualifications:
Lead the vision and development of Inclusion and Diversity strategies for Banfield Pet Hospital, as part of the broader Health and Wellbeing initiative which includes client, community, associates, suppliers, and future talent pipeline.
Assist with Banfield's mission to build an inclusive, associate-centric environment which supports, attracts, and develops people of all backgrounds, partnering with P&O and business leaders across the organization to define and deliver the programs, policies, and practices necessary to build an inclusive workplace.
Activate programs that grow and advance the business across multiple areas, including "Our Clients & Their Pets, Our Communities, Our People, Our Partners and Our Future", measuring and communicating the results of these programs to stakeholders to ensure we deploy meaningful and effective actions.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
Design, develop, influence, and execute effective strategies to grow diverse representation, foster full inclusion, and promote equitable care that is in alignment with Banfield's business objectives and enterprise-wide strategic goals.
Leverage data and analytic skills to drive decision making and action. Designs, develops, and deploys solutions through on-going analysis and tying multiple data sets together to recommend action aligned with business strategies.
Build strategies to influence the end-to-end talent lifecycle and associate experience, ensuring inclusive attraction, hiring, development and retention of diverse talent.
Lead and drive strategies that advance diversity in leadership and develop a strong leadership bench.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to increase the diversity of our talent pipelines and improve equitable outcomes.
Design training initiatives on cultural competency, race, gender, LGBT+, disability, equity and inclusion (and other topics) designed to increase awareness and support of equity and inclusion values, behaviors and skills, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
Strengthen our culture of inclusion, by developing and supporting change and culture management initiatives through established Diversity Resource Groups and fostering diverse and inclusive leadership.
Ensure compliance and control: policy, processes, and practices.
Collaborate as a trusted advisor and business partner for the enterprise. Partner with stakeholders and peers to understand the unique needs of our workplace and workforce.
Participate in local, industry, and/or national diversity council as a member and/or in leadership capacity.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to build Inclusion and Diversity communications and messaging internally and externally.
Act as a member of the Banfield PLT partnering with P&O leaders to build and foster one P&O team across all P&O functions at Banfield and across MVH.
Conduct needs assessments, lead the development and implementation of Inclusion & Diversity education programs that will further enhance the organization's Inclusion & Diversity capabilities.
Lead participation in external surveys and benchmarking for approaches to advance Inclusion & Diversity. Provide thought leadership around global trends and insights to further Banfield's Inclusion & Diversity solutions and strategies.
Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
Environment where pets are present.
Experience, Education and/or Training:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Communications or Business Management is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Master's degree is preferred.
Seven years of Human Capital experience are required, with at least five years in diversity, equity and inclusion.
Five years of experience leading teams and influencing partners, peers and clients are required.
Significant experience in leading large scale, multi-business segment organizational effectiveness and change management strategies is required.
Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed environment and leading through influence is preferred.
Significant expertise in all Human Resources functional areas, including talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, and talent analytics is preferred.
Extensive experience with problem solving in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, ambiguous, and complex environment is preferred.
