Palliative Care Physician - Medical Director PeaceHealth is passionate about growing the palliative care and hospice services at Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. We seek a Medical Director physician who is BC/BE in Palliative Care & Hospice Medicine. The PeaceHealth Palliative Care team is dedicated to easing the fears, anxieties, and discomforts that occur during the advanced stages of illness. Hospitalist teams are familiar with palliative medicine, and they are eager for more on-the-ground resources to meet their patients' needs. The -Medical Director will be responsible for operational leadership for all palliative care services within assigned region. Provides clinical leadership and expertise within the palliative care clinical team. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve experience, efficiencies, and effectiveness of care for patients and families as well as use of resources. Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, policies and procedures. Acts as a point person for palliative care education. Experience & Training Required: -

  • Experience and success in leading and facilitating groups of physicians
  • Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience beyond board certification with preference of one (1) year of administrative experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Management and leadership experience are preferred. Why you'll love the practice:
