Remarks: The Role

The VP of Sales will be an integral part of our senior management team, providing strategic sales direction and leadership to promote the exciting growth of Freight Club. This role will be accountable for expanding our sales team, growing overall sales performance, profitable achievement of sales goals, and aligning sales objectives with company business strategy.

The Team

With accountability over new business, relationships and clients, the Sales Department is like Freight Club 's bread and butter. Expert relationship builders with an intimate understanding of our existing client needs and target market, this team is behind driving the phenomenal growth that has made Freight Club a cutting-edge player in the e-Commerce game.

What You 'll Do:


  • Oversee resources, staffing, budgets as well as the enhancement & maintenance of a best-in-class sales team.
  • Fosters a dynamic corporate culture that attracts, retains, and rewards a diverse mix of stars that care deeply about each other and the success of the business they love.
  • Leads the construction of a product, service, and carrier offering that will combine to deliver an exceptional customer experience, resulting in customer happiness and retention rates that will provide the stable foundation for FC growth.
  • Establishes a sales engine capable of engaging and onboarding new prospects and markets at a pace that will continue the company 's rapid growth.
  • Leads the channel sales team in building out channel networks beyond current product segments. Role Focus
    • Maintain a deep understanding of the software and logistics industry including the competitive landscape.
    • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
    • Evaluate, formulate, and drive our strategic go to market strategy building upon our existing foundation to help drive company growth, revenue goals, market share and retention goals.
    • Creates revenue forecasts and sales budgets; systematically tracks and reports on the forecasts and budgets.
    • Strong expertise in deal negotiation, pricing, and growth strategy to optimize profitable deal structure and creation. Who You Are:
      • Minimum 5 years of sales management experience leading a significant and successful sales organization, ideally within a high-growth, B2B solution company.
      • Highly entrepreneurial, must be a Player/Coach who can up-level the team, distill a complex/data-heavy message to customers and is open to change management.
      • Passion and proven ability to implement world-class sales processes, productivity improvements and training programs while using quantitative and analytical skills to drive sales and growth.
      • Organized leader with the ability to build innovative sales models and strike a strong balance between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
