PHS (Print Hardware Systems) Hardware R Section ManagerDescription -Job DescriptionPHS RnD Lab in Vancouver is seeking a Section Manager reporting to the HW RnD Lab Director. This person will have a broad responsibility covering the development of inkjet platforms as well as development of assets in IDS and EE domains targeted for consumer and adjacent markets. Responsibilities will also include leadership for horizontal initiatives across PHS RnD Labs and development partners. Effective people management and development will be essential.Primary Responsibilities Lead the section consisting of EE, IDS and Integration engineering teams to develop new platforms for inkjet printing.Collaborate with your technical and business partners to define the scope of the programs you are responsible. Assure high value proposition, technical feasibility and excellent overall customer experience. Drive execution to assure high quality and on schedule delivery of the programs. Work with program managers and partners to manage the development programs. Provide leadership for issue resolution, track metrics, identify issues early and drive resolution with high sense of urgency.Drive initiatives to improve quality in our development processes and quality customer experience.Sponsor relationships and development plans with partners for Ink Delivery Systems across PHS portfolio. Collaborate with the LFP team and lead development of IDS solutions for low and mid-range products for LFP.Lead the development of the horizontal assets for Ink Delivery Systems to optimize development efforts and value for the customer and business. Lead strategies and development work for EE assets, including Analog ASIC, Power supply, SIE, sensors. Work in tandem with the labs staff, technical and business leaders to ensure that we deliver to Vintage Chart commitments with quality and predictability. Lead people management processes for the Section. Manage multiple Project, Program Managers and Technical Masters. Develop a high-performance team including on boarding of young and diverse talent and ensure career development across the staff & teams. Drive to maximize employee engagement for the team.As a senior member of the Lab Staff, ensure a strong collaboration across teams and work to continuously improve & transform our R strategies, processes and performance. Collaborate across organizational boundaries to foster "one team" approach across PHS RnD organizationsKnowledge and Skills Required Demonstrated strong track record in R, technology & product development with proven technology and processes understanding. Demonstrated strong customer focus.Minimum of 5 years of management experience leading teams to develop and deliver new technologies & processes.Demonstrated leadership skills for managing, coaching and developing managers and individual contributors, including technical leaders.Demonstrated experience as a leader of cross functional teams.Strategic thinker. Be able to focus on the mid/long term while executing on the short term. Business acumen.Strong partnership skills. Experience managing cross organizational and cross geographical developments. Demonstrated experience working with technology partners.Driver of change & transformation, growth mindset.Promote creativity and innovation while managing program delivery risk.
