Job Description:
Job Summary:The Division Manager position at RBC is responsible
for the overall success of the division as it relates to safety,
quality, and financial health. - The division manager plays an
integral role in the success of RBC as a whole and at the
divisional level. - The leader should have an established resume
and track record of performing at a high level in past positions
and should have a demonstrated history of growth in successive
roles. - The Division Manager should have a strong work ethic,
should be a team player, and should be adept at managing different
types of projects, personnel, clients, and overall company
resources. - -Supervisory Responsibilities:
Is a safety leader and is responsible
for the overall mentorship and growth of division employees related
to safety culture.Is responsible for the overall quality of work
performed by division employees as related to RBC and client
standards.Is responsible for mentoring and leading subordinate
personnel including supervisory and project management staff for
successful job and overall division financial goals. - Duties/
Responsibilities:
Responsible for learning and
understanding client specific and industry guidelines as related to
the work RBC performs. - Will coach team and hold them accountable
for the above mentioned.Responsible for hiring and personnel
management to ensure division is properly staffed based on current
and future workloads to ensure overall business continuity. -
Requires coordination with appropriate HR and Recruiting staff. -
Plan, direct and coordinate delivery
of services through the effective and efficient use of resources
allocated to the division. - Heavy emphasis placed on tactical and
strategic short and mid-term planning and organization.Responsible
for division financials including WIP and forecast of specific
projects and overall division metrics.Responsible for engaging in
the estimating process as related to potential division and company
projects.Responsible for project tracking and specific project
metrics according to company and client standards.Manage cash flow
for full project lifecycle and for division to ensure RBC Day Sales
Outstanding (DSO) metrics are achieved. Responsible for forecasting
and reporting current and future workload including revenue and
cost targets.Manage and mentor multiple supervisors, crews, and
administrative team members completing construction
projects.Responsible for working closely with clients and various
jurisdictional agencies to ensure project teams are responsive to
and meeting all client required deliverables.Responsible for
soliciting and managing various subcontractors to ensure business
continuity.Responsible for understanding and managing RBC and
client workflows to ensure all project deliverables are
achieved.Responsible for client and work type business development
to achieve targeted growth at the divisional level.Conduct and lead
weekly internal and external meetings as needed to ensure division
and project success.Conduct performance reviews with division
employees, prepare growth plans, targeted performance improvement
plans, and succession plans for division employees. Required
Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of buried,
underground and aerial utilities and construction
management.Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.Excellent critical thinking skills.Excellent organizational
skills and attention to detail.Strong supervisory and leadership
skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office SuiteEducation and
Experience:
GED or High School Diploma at a
minimum. - Associate or bachelor's degree in business preferred.
Minimum 10 years' experience in construction related field. -
Preferably in telecommunications.
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Suite. Preferred knowledge of JDE or other Enterprise Resource
Planning software.Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk
and working on a computerProlonged periods in a vehicleMust be able
to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Ability to travel/walk throughout
RBC and client facilities and job sites as required.Travel
