Director of Human Resources - Posting #23-015

MAJOR DUTIES: The Director of Human Resources works closely with the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the development and management of human resources programs. The employee guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire agency including; recruiting and staffing; performance management systems; organization development; employee orientation; policy development and documentation; employee relations; compensation and benefits administration. In fulfilling these duties, the incumbent leads and performs the following duties independently and with emphasis on excellent customer service:

  • Oversees all staff recruitment and onboarding activities at the agency.
  • Implement accessible HR procedures, processes, and corresponding forms.
  • Administer the employee benefit programs.
  • Directs and executes Human Resources (HR) functions to provide assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving HR and work performance issues within established guidelines.
  • Ensure that the agency is following all HR best practices and limiting any agency's liability.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations and company policies and reports accordingly.
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate closely with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate record/document processing.
  • Work to facilitate communication and improve employee human relations skills and work performance by talking/coaching managers and employees to improve conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and effective group interaction skills.
  • Ensure that the culture at Lifeline Connections is positive, productive, and inclusive.
  • In conjunction with the CEO, works with any relevant board committees.
  • Maintains Employee Handbook and consistent communication with staff regarding updates.
  • Conducts market research for future planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources: or a combination of equivalent education and experience required; Master's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred.
    • SHRM-CP and or SPHR certifications strongly encouraged and preferred.
    • Seven or more years in progressively responsible role in Human Resources.
    • Three or more years of management experience of a HR department.
    • Excellent management and supervisory skills with a broad knowledge of HR business practices.
    • Highly effective communication in both oral and written form.
    • Initiative and high personal integrity.
    • Excellent leadership, project management, and facilitation skills in a team environment.
    • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers.
    • Ability to lead effectively and promote results driven teams.
    • Ability to learn and implement HR regulations and guidelines.
    • Ability to develop and maintain short- and long-term strategies to meet business goals and objectives.
    • Working Knowledge of Microsoft 365.

      Salary: $75K-90K/year DOE

      Lifeline Connections is striving to be your employer of choice by offering our regular/full-time employees a generous benefits package. The plan covers 85% of medical, dental, and vision costs at the employee level and 75% for all dependent plans. The majority of out-of-pocket costs for co-pays, prescriptions, and deductible under the medical plan are also covered. We also have employer paid Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, and supplemental coverages.

      Our full-time employees and some part-time employees also qualify for our 401(K) plan that matches dollar for dollar up to 5%. On top of all that, our full-time employees receive approximately 4 weeks of paid time off during their first year of employment (accrual rates increase with years of service), as well as 1 personal holiday and 12 paid holidays per year!
