Job Description:
Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a General Sales Manager to
join our team located in Vancouver, WA. The General Sales Manager
will effectively manage Sales and Territory Managers (TM's) for the
profitable growth of the sales of industrial gas, micro-bulk and
gas equipment sales within their assigned region. General Sales
Managers (GSM's) will set goals for profitable growth, review
account plans/sales reports, and works with cost-to-serve model to
ensure Sales and Industrial Gas/Microbulk Territory Managers are
managing their territories effectively. General Sales Managers will
also work closely with plant personnel and application engineers to
deliver high level customer service and value-added solutions,
respectively. Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and hold accountable a team of sales
professionals within area to generate profit growth
- Ensures sales teams meets or exceeds targets for sales and
margin by setting sales goals, monitoring progress and promoting
effective sales behaviors by providing coaching and guidance to
team
- Creates sales plans & KPIs for assigned geographic area to meet
sales objectives
- Maintain and increases existing revenue stream for area
- Create and maintain strong relationships with key customers
through documented account plans
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key Linde
customers in the area
- Support assigned team to secure long term Product Service
Agreements (PSA) with LINDE customers
- Resolve customer concerns in a timely manner
- Maximize wallet share by coordinating with LINDE marketing
programs
- Collaborate with Operations and Distribution within area to
ensure business continuity and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with Specialty Gas group and Healthcare group to
seek and obtain new sales into the area
- Perform all job duties in compliance with Safety standards
- Manage people in accordance with LINDE's Leadership
Strategy
- Provide guidance to team members on how to provide service
consistent with Customer Based Behaviors
- Remove barriers that may cause roadblocks for team members to
achieve their goals
- Participate with LEAN and Six Sigma projects that relate to
Industrial Gas
- Report sales progress, success and challenges to General
Manager for area
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent relevant
experience
- 5+ years Sales experience in industry
- Large account management experience
- 3+ years Management/Leadership preferred
- Background in Industrial gases and equipment
- Met Fab and capital equipment experience required
- Competent Computer Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Solid Interpersonal Skills
- Requires a minimum of 25% travel
- No DUI/DWI or other alcohol (driving) related convictions
within the last ten (10) yearsSalaried: $103,875 - $152,350Linde is
