dedicated and experienced Admissions Director to lead our team and
uphold our commitment to excellence.JOB SUMMARY:The Admissions
Director for our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is responsible for
managing the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry to
resident placement. This role includes overseeing the evaluation of
prospective residents, managing relationships with referral
sources, and ensuring that the facility maintains optimal occupancy
levels. The Admissions Director plays a key role in marketing the
facility's services and ensuring a smooth transition for new
residents.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the admissions process, including responding to
inquiries, conducting tours, evaluating potential residents, and
coordinating admission paperwork.
- Ensure that all admissions are handled efficiently,
professionally, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and
facility policies.
- Conduct thorough assessments of prospective residents to
determine their suitability for the facility, considering medical
needs, financial status, and personal preferences.
- Monitor and analyze occupancy trends, identifying opportunities
to improve admissions processes and increase census
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral
sources, including hospitals, physicians, discharge planners,
social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct regular outreach to referral sources to promote the
facility's services and maintain a steady flow of referrals.
- Attend networking events, community meetings, and industry
conferences to expand the facility's referral network and build
partnerships.
- Collaborate with the Administrator and other leadership team
members to develop and implement strategies to achieve and maintain
desired occupancy levels.
- Prepare and present regular reports on admissions activities,
including metrics such as inquiry-to-admission conversion rates,
referral source performance, and resident demographics.
- Work with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing
plans that highlight the facility's strengths and attract
prospective residents and their families.
- Represent the facility at community events, health fairs, and
other outreach activities to raise awareness and generate interest
in the facility's services.
- Provide guidance and support to prospective residents and their
families during the admissions process, addressing any questions or
concerns they may have.
- Ensure that new residents and their families feel welcomed and
well-informed during the transition to the facility.
- Collaborate with the nursing and social services teams to
facilitate a smooth and positive admission experience.
- Ensure all admission documentation is completed accurately and
in a timely manner, including resident assessments, consent forms,
and insurance verifications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local
regulations affecting admissions in skilled nursing facilities,
ensuring that the facility remains compliant.
- Regularly audit admissions files to ensure accuracy and
compliance with regulatory standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business,
Marketing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may
be considered.
- Genuine concern for, and ability to work with the elderly and
vulnerable populations.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in admissions, sales, or
marketing within a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled
nursing facility.
- In-depth understanding of the skilled nursing facility
industry, including regulatory requirements and the needs of
potential residents.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
processes related to admissions.
- Proven success in building and maintaining referral
relationships and managing the admissions process.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability
to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and
healthcare professionals.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the
ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with
