Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue is currently creating an
eligibility list for and future openings for entry level
We are currently planning for a Summer 2022 academy.
Candidates must have completed and passed the FireTEAM test
administered by National Testing Network by the application
submission date and have a Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT)
dated 12 months from the close date of this posting. A CPAT will be
accepted from any organization authorized and licensed by the IAFF

Candidates must complete the online application with Tualatin

Starting $5,182 per month as of July 1, 2021

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue is Oregons largest fire district and
provides fire protection and emergency medical services to more
than 530,000 people. We are located in one of the fastest growing
regions in the state. Our 390-square-mile service area includes
most of Washington County and portions of Clackamas, Multnomah, and
Required Skill Set
Age : 18
US Citizen : US citizenship is not required. Candidates will be
required to show proof of the ability to work in the U.S.
High School Grad/GED : Yes
Ability to Read/Speak English : Yes
College : Not required
Additional education: In addition to a high school diploma or
equivalent, post-high school education or an equivalent combination
of education and experience is preferred.
Academy Certification : No
Prior Experience : None required
Necessary Certifications : Oregon EMT license by time of hire.
Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers : All non-expunged
convictions must be disclosed, and are reviewed in relation to
number, severity, date, and other relevant circumstances.
Candidates must not have any criminal convictions that would
prevent certifications from the Oregon Department of Public Safety
Standard and the Oregon Health Authority.
Driving Disqualifiers : Must possess a current, valid drivers
license that is recognized by the state of Oregon and maintain a
driving record insurable by the Districts insurer in order to drive
a District vehicle.
Additional Disqualifiers : Must meet National Fire Protection
(NFPA) standards for health and fitness. Must pass a pre-employment
physical, drug screen and psychological evaluation.
