Job Description:

Portland Fire & Rescue is currently hiring for Entry Level Firefighter / Paramedic positions. To be eligible for the hiring process, all candidates are required to submit the following:

Proof of an Oregon Paramedic license at the time of conditional offer of employment (March 2020)
National Testing Network FireTEAM exam results administered by the National Testing Network by February 3, 2020. FireTeam exam must be completed between February 3, 2019 February 3, 2020.
Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) by a facility that is authorized and licensed by the IAFF and IAFC. CPAT must be completed between February 3, 2019 February 3, 2020.
The Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) is NOT required and will not be reviewed if submitted.

Candidates must apply online (www.portlandoregon.gov/jobs) with the City of Portland between December 2, 2019, and December 16, 2019.

Candidates that have already completed the FireTeam exam with the National Testing Network prior to the application open date, MUST log in to your account with the National Testing Network and add Portland Fire & Rescue for scores to be considered. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT RESULTS FROM THE FIRETEAM EXAM AND CPAT IS FEBRUARY 3, 2020. Salary Information:
Annual $30,181 - $47,540 (Probationary Firefighter)
Annual $59,893 - $85,884 (Firefighter)

Paramedic premium of 11% of top step firefighter will be applied upon completion of probation AND field training.
