#WFP2023THE OPPORTUNITYWhat You'll Do: As the Environmental,
Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator, you are responsible for
developing and fostering a safety first workplace culture at our
Columbia Vista Sawmill Division. You will develop and implement
environmental, health and safety programs and policies, train
personnel on new protocols, and ensure that the organization is in
compliance with all environment, health and safety regulations.Who
You Are: You are an experienced health and safety professional with
experience in the manufacturing industry. You have strong knowledge
of OSHA, WISHA, and relevant standards and regulations. You are an
excellent communicator with a strong ability to collaborate with
various roles within the operation and have a commitment to the
highest safety and environmental standards. If you have an
Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial
hygiene, or related science, it is an asset.Our total rewards
offering includes:Salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 based on your
skill level, qualifications, and experience.Annual Performance
BonusDental and Medical Benefits; employee premiums for base plan
are 100% paid for by WFP401(k) retirement savings planWork
Environment: This role is to be performed in person at our Columbia
Vista Sawmill Operation in Vancouver, WA.RESPONSIBILITIESOversight
of the Environment, Health, and Safety program for the solid wood
operations.Assist in the development and implementation of mill and
department safety action plans.Perform routine monitoring, audits
and create corrective actions to address safety and environment
issues.Lead environmental and safety regulatory and compliance
inspections.Develop and coordinate safety training.Lead environment
and safety improvement programs.Assist in management of Drug Free
Workplace and fitness for duty programs.Coordination and management
of worker's compensation cases, as well as coordination of
return-to-work with Human Resources.Support operating staff in
performing safety coaching and trainingOther functions as
neededQUALIFICATIONSEducation And Experience3 or more years'
experience in environmental, safety and health
management.Manufacturing safety experience required.Associates
degree or Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, or
related science is an asset.Safety certification an asset.Wood
products or pulp and paper industry experience preferred.Skills,
Knowledge and Required CompetenciesStrong knowledge of OSHA, WISHA
and related standards and regulations.Intermediate to Advanced MS
Office skills (Excel, Word and Access).Commitment to high Safety
and Environmental Standards.Must have strong organizational,
analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly
interactive/energetic team environment.Detail and results
