Salary Rate: $71,388.66 - $74,269.50 (LPN)
Salary Rate: $81,400 - $88,042.24 (RN)
Position Summary:
Full-time Nurse Manager position available immediately. -Sea Mar is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for our Vancouver Delaware Medical Clinic. Sea Mar Community Health Centers is accredited by The Joint Commission and recognized by the National Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) level III.
The Nurse Manager works in conjunction with Health Center Administrator -and Clinical Director in daily operations of the clinic. Nurse Manager oversees clinical and administrative supervision of all the nursing personnel in the clinic. Ideal candidates will be empathetic, calm, passionate, and motivated to make a difference. The Nurse Manager will know the Social Determinants of health, what that means in Community Health Care, and how that is different from other health care facilities.
Responsibilities:



  • Manage and evaluate approx. 10-12 Medical Assistants (MA), including MA supervisors


  • Implement nursing policies and procedures in collaboration with the Medical Director and Clinic Manager to meet Sea Mar's standards, philosophy, and governmental regulations.


  • Perform monthly audits (NPSG audits, etc.---) and demonstrate knowledge of State and Federal Regulations as they apply to health centers or hospitals


  • Focus clinic efforts on quality measures, HEDIS, and Meaningful Use standards


  • Provide annual MA trainings (Infection control, sterilization technics, etc.---)


  • Lead hiring efforts for any MAs and participate in the hiring of other support staff


  • Oversee and maintain a patient care system of nurse only visits\


  • Strong Teaching Skills - Able to disseminate information effectively and efficiently. -


  • Excellent Communication Skills - Ensure that employees understand the point you are trying to make. Knows to ask -employees to repeat what they heard to ensure communication was effective.


  • Excellent Listener -- Good eye contact. Not distracted when someone is talking to them. Door always open policy. -Sometimes this is all the MA's need.


  • Sympathetic/Empathetic - This is not something that can be taught. -


  • Strong Critical Thinking Skills - -Is always asking Why and asking questions to further understand processes? -


  • Problem Solver - -Finding out the answer/knows the resources to lead to the answer. -Looking at things from different angles to figure out a solution. ----


  • Self-Motivated - Does not need micromanaged. Knows what work needs to be done and completes on time.


  • Loves to Learn - -Will do the research that is needed for the job (i.e. MA scope, Union Contract, Policies and Procedures, Labor Laws, CDC Recommendations, etc.). -


  • NOT a micro-manager, but knows when to be if necessary (i.e. keeping a close eye on someone with a pattern of a certain behavior). -


  • Someone who is calm, passionate, and motivated to make a difference. -


  • Someone who knows the Social Determinants of Health and what that means in Community Health. Someone that knows what Community Health is and the difference from other healthcare facilities. -


    Requirements:


    • Must be a Registered Nurse, B.S.N., LPN or equivalent and licensed to practice nursing in the State of Washington.


    • Two-Three years of experience in nursing supervision as well as organizational and budget management experience.


    • Community Health Center experience preferred not required.


    • Excellent -communication (both written and verbal), listening, -and team building abilities a must.


      Desired Qualifications:


      • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.


      • Strong Leadership abilities and coaching skills.


      • Attention to detail.


      • An eagerness to learn.


      • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and self motivated attitude a plus.
