Pharmacist Location: Albany, OR Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Rotating - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 18 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician Location: Oregon (Retail / Community Pharmacy) Department: Retail Pharmacy Job Type: 13-week contract Schedule: Days, 0645 1915, rotating weekends Position overview The Certified Pharmacy Technician supports daily operations in a busy community retail pharmacy that serves both walk-in customers and patients connected to a local hospital system. This role focuses on accurate prescription processing, EPIC Willow Ambulatory workflows, and patient-centered pharmacy services in a collaborative team environment. Key responsibilities Assist pharmacists with receiving, processing, filling, and labeling community prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support immunization services, medication management programs, hospice prescriptions, and patient assistance programs as allowed by policy and state scope. Accurately enter and maintain prescription, insurance, and patient information using EPIC Willow Ambulatory. Verify quantities, NDCs, and directions to ensure safe and accurate dispensing and minimize medication errors. Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, returns, and monitoring for expired products. Follow established procedures for controlled substances handling, storage, and documentation. Uphold all pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and privacy requirements while delivering courteous, efficient customer service. Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, prescribers, and other team members to support timely patient care. Required qualifications Active, unencumbered Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician license at time of submission. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of recent pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a community or outpatient setting. Demonstrated experience with EPIC Willow Ambulatory. Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and background requirements per state and facility policy. Preferred qualifications Completion of a Medical Pharmacy Technician or similar pharmacy technician training course. National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA) and experience supporting immunization or medication management programs.
