Title: ICU Registered Nurse (Night Shift) Location: Lincoln City,
OR Department: ICU / CCU Job Type: 13-Week Contract | Night Shift
Position overview The ICU Registered Nurse (Night Shift) provides
direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients in the
ICU/CCU on 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends. This
contract role is ideal for experienced critical care nurses who are
comfortable using EPIC, responding rapidly to changes in condition,
and working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary ICU team.
Key responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to ICU/CCU
patients with complex, high-risk, and unstable conditions,
including continuous assessment and intervention. Perform ongoing
monitoring of vital signs, hemodynamics, and clinical status;
recognize and promptly respond to signs of deterioration.
Administer medications, titrate IV infusions, and perform
treatments in accordance with physician orders, protocols, and ICU
standards. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists,
pharmacists, and other team members to develop and implement
individualized plans of care. Accurately document assessments,
interventions, and outcomes using EPIC EMR, ensuring timely and
complete records. Respond effectively to emergencies (e.g., codes,
rapid responses) and neurologic events, utilizing ACLS and NIHSS
competencies. Provide education and support to patients and
families, communicating condition updates and care plans in a
clear, compassionate manner. Required qualifications & skills
Active, unencumbered Oregon RN license at time of submission. BLS
(AHA Healthcare Provider) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required.
NIHSS certification required. Minimum 1 year of recent ICU/critical
care RN experience. Demonstrated strong clinical judgment, critical
thinking, and ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients.
Willingness and ability to work NOC shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) with
rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled. Core competencies
Critical care expertise in managing unstable, complex ICU/CCU
patients. Advanced patient assessment and continuous monitoring,
including hemodynamic and neurologic status. Emergency response and
rapid intervention using ACLS and NIHSS-guided care. Team
collaboration with interdisciplinary critical care teams. Attention
to detail and accurate EPIC documentation. Adaptability,
