care. Job Description This position will support the US Department
of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The person in this
position will represent International SOS Government Medical
Services, Inc. and provide services outlined below: Operate MRI
equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for VA Portland
HCS patients, ensuring patient identification, safety, and
understanding of the procedure and any hazards. Work independently,
reporting unusual problems/conflicts to the Imaging Chief
Technologist; participate in patient safety and TJC-related
activities. Key Responsibilities • Operate superconductive MRI
equipment to acquire images following complex protocols and
assignments. • Maintain and work from HIS–RIS worklist (VA
transitioning to Cerner). • Verify patient identity and ensure
images are properly labelled; confirm patient ID band matches exam
request. • Explain examinations to patients, including what will be
done and any potential hazards. • Maintain records/files of exams
performed; enter required data into VA systems. • Perform
irregular-hour emergency scans while on standby/on-call to support
24-hour coverage as required. • Work independently; escalate
unusual problems/conflicts to Imaging Chief Technologist. •
Participate in VAMC/TJC activities as applicable to the position;
report all patient safety incidents per VA process. • Support
staffing coverage consistent with ICSP task orders and PWS staffing
requirements. • Completes required organizational compliance
education, including assigned requirements that are
client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services
certification or other regulatory bodies. This list is

additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
Qualifications Basic Requirements/Certifications: • Two years'
experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under
the direction of a Radiologist or other medical officer to produce
radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and
treatment. • Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as an
MRI Tech in the last six months. • Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification. Education Required: • Successful completion of an
accredited educational training program in which technologists are
certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must be certified
for their specialty. Physical Requirements: • Work is normally
performed in a typical interior/office work environment. • Work
involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. • May
require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs. Other Special
Qualifications: • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to
effectively communicate. • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is
required. • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance. Personnel will
work any eight (8) hour shift, nine (9) hour shift, or ten (10)
hour shifts. 252 on-call hours and 852 overtime hours 3710 SW U.S.

Information Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in
addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other
benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the
applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and
alignment with geographical market data. Benefits: This position is
