Job Description:
DescriptionPratt Industries is currently seeking a Human
Resources Generalist to assist Divisional HR Manager and Regional
HR Manager to manage the full spectrum of human resource
responsibilities for our Vancouver, Washington. Position will
report to the Divisional HR Manager. Position will require some
travel 10% to 15% travel. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Regional HR Manager and Divisional HR Manager with all
phases of employment including advertising, recruiting,
interviewing, testing, placement of personnel, orientation
programs, exit interviews, and unemployment compensation
hearings.
- Communicate and assist with employee benefits including
medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, FMLA and vacation or leave of
absences.
- Serve a source of contact to managers, employees, working under
the supervision of the Divisional HR Manager and Regional HR
Manager on all human resource related matters.
- Assist with conducting internal investigations.
- Maintain and administer all HR reports and records as required
by state and federal laws.
- Maintain and update personnel files.
- Compute, post, and maintain reports related to employee leave
and absentees.
- Assist with processing biweekly payroll
- Assist with job fairs, recruiting, tracking attendance, filing
and any HR related function or duty
- Assist Plant Manager with Labor Tracker
- Assist Divisional Safety Manager and Safety Manager when needed
or when help requested
- Assist with Company Random Drug Screen procedures
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to multi-task, serve, and travel to multiple
locations when needed and sometimes with short notice.
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast pace
environment
- Additional duties as assigned by management.LEADERSHIP

representative.REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE- BS degree in HR
Management/Business Mgmt. (working towards a degree will also be
considered) - One to Three years' experience as a HR generalist -
Manufacturing experience.- Excellent oral and written communication
skills.- Computer literate (proficient in MS Word, MS
Excel).LANGUAGE SKILLSMust be able to read and write English.
Bi-lingual English & Spanish preferred MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility
to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,
commissions, proportions, and percentages. TECHNICAL SKILLSComputer
literate (MS Office including Word and Excel)Proficient knowledge
and application of HR laws and regulationsPreferred Candidates with
experience with ADPPHYSICAL DEMANDSEmployee is regularly required
to walk and talk and hear, sit and stand. Vision requirements
include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.WORK
ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee
may be exposed to on the manufacturing floor wet and/or humid
conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne
particles. The noise level in the work environment can be, at
times, loud.
