Specialist is responsible for preparing and processing in-house,
full-cycle payroll for an average of 260 non-profit agency
employees. The Payroll Specialist II role is benefited and
scheduled for 30-36 hours per week and up to 1872 hours per year.
The fully qualified pay rate is $24.74 per hour. This is an
in-office position. The schedule is flexible and can be discussed
during the interview and/or hiring process. Great opportunity for

do so. EducationTwo years of college or business school preferred
with major course work in accounting. High School diploma and four
years of comparable payroll experience may be substituted for
preferred education requirement. However, this experience must be
in addition to, and not a substitute for experience requirement
identified below.ExperienceTwo years of experience in the
accounting field. Experience with processing in house payroll
required.Knowledge of1. Principles and practices of payroll
administration, record keeping and reporting.2. Accounting
principles and practices.3. Job costing and/or cost allocation
methodology.4. State and Federal tax regulations and reporting
requirements.5. Knowledge of grant fund accounting is highly
desirable, but not required.Ability to:1. Exercise effective
management of payroll responsibilities.2. Perform routine and
complex accounting functions on deadline under high pressure
conditions.3. Use critical thinking to independently problem solve
on an ongoing daily basis.4. Complete tasks that display
hyper-attention to detail.5. Maintain confidentiality of accurate
records and information.6. Work cooperatively with staff, families,
and community members from diverse backgrounds7. Demonstrate
professional and effective written and verbal communication
skills.8. Attend appropriate staff meetings and out-of-town
