Our words bring life and personality to our products. We're here to help users understand our platform, onboard, and ultimately become power users. Our writing helps our users build better software and love our products even more. You'll use your structure, tone, and writing skills to compose brilliant docs. You'll build a great customer experience through documentation, and get mentorship from a collaborative team. You'll work directly with experienced technical writers on all types of documentation that we produce and maintain on our own site: API docs, install procedures, customer use cases, complex concept definitions, and everything in between! What You'll Do * Write, edit, and architect our docs. You ensure the content gets our users all the info they need, without too much info getting in the way. * Scope and ship documentation for new features. You see the value in our products, not just the features, and create docs that show off the value without boring our users. * Clarify complexity. Speak to developers in a language they can understand, and write approachable technical documentation for complex concepts. * Work on an agile writing team, and apply agile project management practices to technical documentation. * Discuss writing methodologies with our writers, and receive feedback to help build and develop your technical writing skills. Your Qualifications Must-have: * A degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, or equivalent real life experience. * You have an excellent grasp of tech writing concepts, and you're ready to apply those concepts to documentation focused on software and technology. * You're open to feedback, and enjoy discussing content strategy and approaches with peers. * You take pride in your work and hold everything you do to high standards. You can support several writing projects at once, without losing the details. * You have a passion for technology, software, and learning new things. * Experience with GitHub. * A strong opinion about the Oxford comma.
