Job Description:

Summary:
The role of the Database Administrator is to administer, test, and implement BPA management approved computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems. Coordinates changes to computer databases. May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases. The Database Administrator (DBA) may also perform enterprise level database administration using the Oracle tool suite to install databases, implement scripting, tuning, backups, monitoring, failover and data protection, recovery, security and integrity.

Education & Corresponding Experience -(required on matrix)
--- - - -Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a directly-related technical field is preferred.
--- - - -Level 2:
o - - -5 years of experience is required with an Applicable Bachelor's Degree in applicable fields.
o - - -7 years of experience is required with an Applicable Associate's Degree in applicable fields.
o - - -9 years of experience is required without a degree.
--- - - -Experience must include direct work experience in Computer/Information technology performing Database Administration.

o - - -MySQL - MySQL, MySQLAdmin, MySQLDump is considered a strong plus, -
o - - -OLTP and OLAP data modeling -
o - - -Assist in designing and implementing changes to a complex database environment as requested. -
o - - -Database consolidation strategies -
o - - -SQL Server remote management
--- - - -Windows
o - - -Windows Server administration or Software installation -
o - - -Active Directory -
o - - -Windows 2008 or later certification
o - - -Uses remote management tools such as, NetOp and Microsoft Remote Desktop.
o - - -Utilize Microsoft Office tools to document processes and procedures. -

o - - -Microsoft SQL - -SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Profiler -
