Job Description:

Sysco, a leading global entity in food service distribution, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Driver Supervisor to oversee our fleet operations committed to servicing a prestigious clientele including restaurants, healthcare, and educational facilities. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standard of service and timely delivery that Sysco is known for. The Driver Supervisor will ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and team leadership. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the truck drivers and other logistical staff Coordinate and schedule driver routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines Monitor and enforce safety standards and compliance with regulatory requirements Develop and implement training programs for drivers to ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures Regularly review driver performance and provide feedback to improve productivity Maintain accurate records of drivers’ hours, route details, and fuel consumption Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues regarding delivery Collaborate with maintenance team to ensure all vehicles are in peak operational condition Implement strategies to reduce operational costs and improve driver satisfaction Proven leadership and team management skills Strong organizational and communication skills In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards Proficient in route planning software and GPS tracking Ability to effectively solve problems and make decisions under pressure Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) Certification in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) is a plus
