Alert Security is currently hiring for Unarmed Security Officers. These unarmed security positions are at a fast paced logistics facility located in Milwaukie, a short distance from Portland. No experience necessary, we can train you. A great opportunity to start a career, earn additional money for the holidays, or work around a college schedule. Full time and part-time position opportunities. We are looking for security officers with exceptional customer service skills; who promote a team player attitude; possess strong verbal and written communication skills; maintain an exceptional attention to detail; exhibit a high energy level and strong work ethic. Duties will include ensuring site safety and security, monitoring activities, and maintaining logs of all vehicles and persons entering and exiting the site. This is the perfect opportunity for you to use your leadership skills and strong attention to detail to ensure a safe and secure environment for yourself and others. All shifts are currently available. Applicants for this position must be willing and able to work all shifts as needed. Rates: $14.00/hr Security Guard $15.00/hr Lead Applicants must: Possess a current Oregon DPSST Private Security Professional license Have a clean and professional appearance in and out of uniform Be able to walk for extended periods of time while patrolling client site Be able to pass drug test Have reliable transportation (personal vehicle preferred) Possess a working phone Be available for all days and shift as need arises, including holidays and overtime Be an effective team member and courteous telephone manners Be able to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances Be able adapt to changes in the external environment and organization Be able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports Possess good organizational skills This position will require extensive standing and walking for long periods of time while patrolling the site. This may include climbing stairs, walking on uneven terrain or up inclines. The position may also include pushing, pulling or occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
