Location 18101 SE 6th Way, Vancouver, Washington Job Type Full-time regular Summary and Qualifications: The primary purpose and function of the Associate Specialist Construction is to support both the remodel team and the execution of remodel projects.This position will be responsible for managing remodel project orders, PO creation, and invoicing. Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:* Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.* Pre-Remodel Project Support: Assist design on photo requests and gathering of information for drawing creation, send plans for bid to GC's, upload photos for vendor review, create contracts and project playbooks, coordinate deliveries with vendors, coordinate/communicate projects with PetSmart, compile Roadie Project Packets and send to job site. * During/After Remodel Project Support: Project support while Project Manager is out of office, miscellaneous PO requests, manage repair/replacement of damaged/missing items, manage in-project installs of CCTV's/fire sprinklers/miscellaneous small installs, manage remaining remodel punch items, manage remodel warranty work. * Run Small Projects: Fire sprinkler installs, treatment table installs, and miscellaneous small project and Practice initiatives.* Manage remodel exterior signage approval process and installations. * Manage remodel project orders and PO creation and ensure vendors/suppliers are receiving PO's. Coordinate with commercial team to ensure Coupa ordering system is up to date with construction part numbers. * Track remodel budgets, review and approve invoices, and ensure accuracy. * Work with hospitals, contractors, and vendors, to ensure remodel/exterior signage/and misc. small project punch list items are complete, and rectify any deficiencies. * Partner with multiple CTS teams, field leaders, and/or hospital associate to facilitate necessary repairs or construction. * Provide Sr. Construction Coordinators with support during remodel projects. * Develop and maintain positive, professional working relationships with vendors, hospital teams, field leaders, PetSmart, and CTS teams. * Ensure all emails, tasks, and phone calls are responded to promptly and with quality customer service. * Other job duties as assigned.Special Working Conditions:* Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time. * Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.* Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.* Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.* Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.* Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.* The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.* Environment where pets are present.Experience, Education and/or Training:* Bachelor's degree in Construction is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.* Two years of relevant professional experience is required, with previous supervisory experience preferred.* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with diverse group of individuals (i.e. CTS, PetSmart, Vendors, GC's, Field Leadership, Hospital Teams etc.) is required.* Ability to read Blueprints and knowledge of construction terms is required. * Previous experience trouble shooting in electrical, plumbing, millwork, and general building construction knowledge is preferred.WE ARE A DRUG-FREE, SMOKE-FREE, EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.Banfield Pet Hospital-- strongly supports and values the uniqueness of all individuals and promotes a work environment where diversity is embraced.
