We're looking for a thoughtful and passionate Principle UX Designer to lead the architectural design of our product. This is a unique opportunity as a part of a scaling organization that will support the VP of Product Design in shaping and executing our product vision. We will give you freedom and autonomy to do your best work, with the support and camaraderie you need to enjoy your job. We're looking for someone who can be both a senior individual contributor for a highly technical product, as well as a leader with the soft skills to drive cross department initiatives. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with our talented team of designers and engineers to bring new features and platform improvements from an idea into reality. You'll balance supporting our team, and being the voice of the user. ResponsibilitiesDesign and lead user research activities - interviews, concept testing, participatory design and usability studiesWork with key stakeholders to understand business problems and design effective solutions. Work with the leaders from product and engineering to scope project requirements.Guide our team through the design process using industry best practices and design thinkingDevelop innovative and easy to utilize design solutions addressing complex business and user needs.Promote an inclusive, collaborative environment for the team to grow and thrive Advocate for exceptional design within the company Guide and shape the culture of design across all teams at Cmd and help to evolve our design language and standardsAct in the capacity of a leader, active listener, and collaborator who values the opinions of others. Drive consensus towards simple solutions that gracefully meet both user and business needs.Help us continue to attract and hire the best team of designers Skills and Experience8+ years of relevant work experience as Senior UX Designer or ArchitectExperience working in companies that provide user-focused Enterprise SaaS solutions for developers or related technical functions like devops, security engineering etc. You excel at uncovering technical requirements and limitations that you use to inform designExperience owning projects from design through to implementationExperience driving user research and usability testingExceptional project management and proven ability to oversee a team of collaboratorsPassion for continuous personal improvement as well as the personal development of your teamExperience using tools like Illustrator, Sketch, and FigmaA portfolio that reflects your strength in UX, and demonstrates good knowledge of visual design principles. You have communicated your company's design-driven philosophy via articles and/or conference presentationsBonus PointsSecurity SaaS experience is a huge advantagePlease include a link to your portfolio. We'd love to see examples of design projects for enterprise products.
