SUMMARY This position is responsible for operational performance of a location and is accountable for directing, planning, organizing, motivating employees in the performance of their responsibilities and providing the Technical expertise to support employee and clients. The Senior Field Inspector is accountable for, and ensures that the location meets operational and customer expectations in a timely and effective manner while in compliance to corporate quality, environmental, Health & Safety requirements. The Sr Field Inspector is accountable for managing all aspects of the operation and for ensuring that the Ops Manager is kept current and informed on all aspects of the branch activities that have any direct or indirect impact on financial, quality and H&S. Represent the business to clients, peers and employees and act with professionalism at all times (verbal, email correspondence).

* Monitors and reports weekly highlights, monthly revenue predictions, production status (i.e. # samples processed/personnel, Revenue/personnel, KPIs). * Participate in weekly and annual management meetings and summarize branch operational performance. * Assists writing Statement of Work (SOW) / Request for Proposals (RFP)'s * Participate and conduct business development activities to expand the business operation. Provide a monthly report to Regional Manager. * Responsible for timesheet approvals and consumables management & timely approval of supplies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Grain Inspector.
Previous demonstrated experience in Wheat, Corn and Soybeans.
Pulses experience is beneficial Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent 3years of experience in Grain Inspection. LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS Federal Grain Inspection Service License for grains or commensurate experience in grain inspection setting. Quality Systems: Ensures that all work follows and in compliance with SGS Quality systems and that quality targets are maintained.
Accountable for familiarizing oneself with the Quality Manual Adherence to the Company's Quality Policy and Procedures, as well as compliance with current accreditation under ISO 17025 / 17020 / 9001 and other applicable international standards and regulations.
Accountable for ensuring that the quality of data, current methodologies, and the execution of the methods are in compliance with current accreditations.
Accountable for ensuring that an appropriate and planned training program is executed and measured for all personnel under direction.
Identification and training of potential back up for all key roles; essential to have a strong succession plan in place for the branch.
Ensures the maintenance of documentation as required by the quality system and the documents in use are current.
System and assigned personnel for instrument calibration and maintenance Traceability of all data outputs, which includes emails, documentations, calculations, etc.
Timely analysis of round robin and proficiency samples Employee awareness for quality system, continuous technical improvement.
