Description Position at LogitechSENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERINGTHE ROLE:Is for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer, designing the next generation of products for Logitech in our Camas, Washington office. The ideal candidate will have a strong consumer electronics or medical device background, be a self-starter, a strong leader, work well within a development team, and have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. These are some of the winning behaviors you'll need for success at Logitech.Design, develop, and validate product mechanical systemsInvestigate new technologies and processes in order to maintain cutting edge design solutions and drive innovationCollaborate across disciplines with internal and external design partners from early concept through production life cyclesFunction as an ME lead in cross-functional project teamCollaborate with suppliers, engineers, 3rd party partners, program managers, and functional managersEnsure solutions exceed feature requirements and consumer expectationsYOUR QUALIFICATIONS:For consideration, please bring the following minimum skills and behaviors:Experience leading team of Mechanical Engineers in a product development programExperience working with suppliers and vendors (ODM, CDM, CM models)Successful prior experience designing consumer electronic or medical device productsStrong knowledge in various manufacturing process and able to apply them effectively to meet part requirements and consumer expectationsStrong knowledge of plastic materials, injection molding and tooling, assembly processes, cosmetic finishes, and defect analysisExperience with silicone molding (liquid injection, compression molding, etc.) and assembly is an assetProponent of DFM, DFA, FMEA, tolerance analysis...Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use statistical tools and techniquesFlexibility and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that is evolvingHighly proficient in 3D CAD, experience using ISDX advanced surfacing preferred, (ProEngineer Creo)Highly proficient using simulation tools (Abaqus FEA or ANSYS FEA)Good verbal and written communication skills, high level of cross-cultural competence in communicating effectively in a global environmentExperience with Zwick material testing equipment a plusInternational travel is requiredEDUCATION:Bachelor's, or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering8 - 12 years of industry experienceLogitech is the sweet spot for people who are passionate about products, making a mark, and having fun doing it.
