ENTUITIVE is seeking to supplement its existing Transportation team in Vancouver with a self-motivated individual, with leadership skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment. Entuitives current projects span the repair and restoration of existing buildings and the design and construction of new buildings. Our project portfolio is diverse and exciting - from commercial and residential skyscrapers to hospitals to opera houses to transit infrastructure - across the United States, Canada and internationally. We are passionate about our work and strive to provide our clients with the utmost in service when it comes to quality and timeliness of our product.

As the Senior Bridge Engineer, you will be responsible for preliminary and detailed design of bridges and other civil structures, cost estimating, checking of designs and drawings, contract document preparation, report preparation, proposal generation, and structural assessment/inspections.

What will you do?

  • Analysis and detailed design of new bridges, bridge rehabilitations, culverts and retaining walls
  • Preparation of contract specifications
  • Participate in bridge and civil structural inspections
  • Preparation of structural reports
  • Supervision of bridge CAD technicians for production of drawings and project deliverables
  • Mentor other junior and intermediate team members
  • Review of construction shop drawings
  • Ability to lead and manage several large-scale bridge projects
  • Preliminary and detailed design and inspection of new bridges, culverts and retaining walls, and rehabilitation of existing structures
  • Prepare sketches for CAD staff and review CAD drawings
  • Prepare technical construction specifications
  • Liaise with contractors and owners during design and construction
  • Other duties as assigned

What do you need to succeed?

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil/Structural engineering from an accredited university
  • Licensed professional engineer in the Province of British Columbia
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant bridge design experience
  • Strong background in analysis and design of concrete and steel bridges
  • Must be proficient in verbal and written communication
  • Conversant with the use of major Structural Analysis Software and AutoCAD
  • Be able to facilitate inter-disciplinary coordination and cooperation
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative attitude in working with members of the Team
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Willingness to be Entuitive
