Job Description: This caseworker position is a key role in the
effective delivery of a variety of social services. The employee is
expected to conduct client assessments, collect personal
data/history, determine eligibility for assistance, and conduct
basic casework services.
Work collaboratively with others to accomplish common goals and

Conduct general casework for those in need of material,
financial, social, and/or spiritual assistance. This includes but
is not limited to conducting intake assessments, collecting
personal/demographic data, developing case histories, advocating
for clients, and providing information & referral services.
Work to provide immediate and/or long-term care within the
limits of available resources, skills, and other boundaries as
determined by the agency.
Perform daily computer work to maintain case files.
Work with a variety of funding sources as available and comply
with funding requirements as directed.
Develop and maintain community contacts and resources for client
needs and effective casework.
Go on home visits as needed for effective deployment of services
and/or follow up.
Attend community forums and meetings as necessary for contract
services and/or the effective working relationship with other
Do monthly, quarterly, and annual housing related reports as
required for various reporting needs.
Assist with food pantry operations as needed. Example: relief
for lunch/breaks and backup when food pantry intake worker is
absent or unavailable.
Perform clerical duties as needed for department needs.

entry, and support the distribution of toys to families for
