We have a high-profile opportunity for a quality professional to
lead resolution of customer and product quality issues on
state-of-the-art, high-power laser systems. The person that fills
this position will work across functional engineering groups and
report progress to the management of Quality, Operations, and the
business unit. You will apply your background in quality systems to
lead continuous improvement activities and problem solving, as well
as ensuring compliance with our quality management system.
Summarize, prioritize, and drive resolution of customer issues.
Manage and improve the customer satisfaction metrics. Support all
NPI programs through the DFMEA process and development of Quality
Plans. Ensure product compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Manage responses to quality-related customer inquiries and surveys.
Support customer audits of nLIGHT.
5+ years quality engineering experience is required. Experience
leading cross-functional, problem-solving teams using 8D
methodology is a must. Bachelor's Degree, or above, in Engineering,
Science, Math, or Statistics. Strong analytical, project management
and communication skills. Experience in a customer-facing role is
preferred. 5+ years working in an electronics field is preferred.
ASQ Quality Engineer certification and ASQ Certified Six Sigma
Black Belt are preferred.
