Who we are
The Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) works closely with local
governments and other community partners throughout Clark County to
address issues of affordable housing and homelessness and help
families break the cycle of poverty.
Who we are looking for
The Vancouver Housing Authority is seeking a Voucher Programs
Supervisor to oversee new hires and other assigned staff In the
Voucher Department. This position will also manage caseloads,
assign work, and is responsible for ensuring programs are being
administered in an effective and efficient manner within
established guidelines. This position works 100% on-site in our
Main Street office and is NOT a remote position.
The Voucher Department administers tenant based, project based,
VASH, FUP, Mainstream, Disposition, and RAD vouchers. The VHA
utilizes a number of Moving to Work initiatives. Voucher Program
staff coordinate with Resident Services, Family Self Sufficiency
(FSS), and community partner agencies to provide housing
opportunities that offer a path from homelessness to
self-sufficiency. VHA emphasizes responsive customer service and
What you'll do
--- Assigns tasks, administers performance standards, motivates and
disciplines staff as necessary.
--- Plans workflow and processes within the department. Develops,
or coordinates development of, necessary forms, reports, and other
--- Identifies ongoing training needs in department.
--- Identifies need for process and performance improvement. Works
with Program Manager to develop improvement actions.
--- Develops and administers training programs for the department.
Including skills training, EIV security, software updates, new
software, compliance, and other trainings as needed.
--- Under direction of Program Manager, may manage internal audit
services and supervise required file corrections.
--- Supervises PIC error corrections. As directed by Program
Manager, may prepare PIC submissions.
--- Participates in the recruiting process. Reviews applications,
sits on the interview panel, and assists in the selection
--- Coordinates software and hardware support with IT
--- Aids staff in resolving conflicts with tenants and
--- May be asked to lead staff meetings. May represent Section 8 in
other VHA and community meetings.
--- With the assistance of the Program Manager researches and
interprets policy/regulations and advises staff.
--- Resolves conflicts with tenants and landlords.
--- Consistently complies with position and department safety and

--- Starting pay rate is $58,152 to $63,967 per year based on

What you'll bring
--- BA in business, social service, or related field; and
--- A minimum of four years' experience in low income housing
management including at least 1 year in a supervisory/lead role; or
--- Experience developing, administering and evaluating programs
related to Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers preferred.
--- Must have valid driver's license and meet VHA auto insurance
