Home Automation SpecialistUS-WA-VancouverJob ID: 6Type: Regular Full-Time# of Openings: 1Category: ITMCG - POROverview The Specialist will interface with Lennar managers for Model Activations and model support. Specialist will be responsible for reporting construction of new models and monitoring home automation products/experience within all Division models. The Specialist shall support New Home Consultants (NHCs) and Division Personnel with general technology needs, along with homebuilding scheduling software and customer care survey coordination and reporting as directed. Responsibilities

  • Communicate new model construction to the Director of Construction.
  • Schedule home automation training for NHCs.
  • Monitor the performance of the home automation products in each model.
  • Report technology issues to the Director of Construction.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of home automation products in models.
  • Ensure models are 100% ready for activation by completing a walkthrough and checklist.
  • Work with local trades to ensure activation readiness.
  • Provide feedback on training issues, effectiveness, and improvements.
  • Responsible for ensuring onsite training complies with all company/department policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for day-to-day computer and network troubleshooting (Office/Field), including user configuration, office setup and New Associate equipment setup.
  • Manage computer hardware and mobility equipment of active associates.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves computer workstation issues, both software and hardware related.
  • Maintains tickets in Help Desk ticketing system and updates tickets with appropriate current status on a daily
  • Monitors and assists with coordinating the activities of third-party support
  • Helps Division prepare and coordinate project plans for installation of technology equipment in Welcome Home Centers and Construction
  • Assist and prepare the division for New Associate Orientation (NAO) on a weekly basis
  • Will be required to cross train for position(s) within the corporate organizational structure
  • Manage access to models and Ring security systems for models.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Three (3) - five (5) years' experience in tech industry
    • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in technical, digital or computer science preferred
    • Valid driver's license
    • Fundamental residential home automation knowledge
    • Smart home technology knowledge
    • Basic network configuration and troubleshooting
    • Use of test equipment (Network tester, Toner, FVD, etc.)
    • Use of technology tools (tablet, phone, laptop)
    • Basic skills in Microsoft office
    • Remains up to date on all job-related updates
    • Embraces change with a positive demeanor
    • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
    • Ability to deal with challenging technical situations in the field with limited supervision
    • Demonstrates excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
    • Demonstrates flexibility in traveling to different divisions when needed
    • Capable of training colleagues on processes and procedures
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Good listening and problem-solving skills

      • The ability to operate a motor vehicle, climb stairs, climb ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and/or carries equipment which may be more than 25 pounds. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. FLSA STATUS: Nonexempt
