Join our professional customer service team and help change the lives of Vancouver's youth!Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington (BGCSW or Clubs) is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, year-round Membership Specialist (Front Desk) position! MISSION STATEMENT 'To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.' POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: With supervision from the Club Director, the Membership Specialist will: Be responsible for daily front desk operations, including but not limited to: Providing excellent customer service to Club members, parents, and community members. Provide guidance, affirm positive behavior in members, and offer redirection to youth when needed. Ensure confidentiality during and after employment which includes, but not limited to membership data, school data, safety plans, and other information obtained. Act as a role model to youth by maintaining a good reputation and moral conduct outside of work, in the community and on social media networks.COVID-19 Specific Tasks: Assist Club Director and Staff with screening employees for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 at the start of each shift. Assist Club Director to ensure that employees who display symptoms of COVID-19 stay home or immediately are instructed to go home. Assist Club Director to ensure that any areas where an employee with probable or confirmed COVID-19 illness worked, touched surfaces, etc. are cleaned and sanitized. Following the cleaning guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control to deep clean and sanitize. Conduct frequent cleaning and sanitizing with a particular emphasis on commonly touched surfaces around your work space. QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to furnish a completed (2 dose, unless J&J) COVID-19 vaccination card on the 1st day of work - Required High School diploma or GED - Required Pass a National Criminal, Social Security, Local Criminal and National Sex Offender Registry Background Check -Required Pass a Credit Check - Required Experience working at a front desk / reception area - Preferred Experience working with youth - Preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish Fluency) Skill in data entry, clerical support, strong communication and customer service - Required CPR & First Aid Certifications - Required within 6 months of hire date. WORK SCHEDULE Must be currently available to work between 1pm to 7pm (Including a weekly Staff Meeting), Monday through Friday, expanded hours available during summer Approximately 20-25 hours per week EMPLOYMENT TYPE Part-time (PT) / Year-Round Non-Profit Organization COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $16.50-$17.50 per hour DOE Additional compensation available for candidates who possess effective verbal and written skills in various languages to provide translation services On-going professional development opportunities LOCATIONS CURRENTLY HIRING O.K.
