candidates in the state of Wyoming.
JOB SUMMARY:
EmpRes Healthcare is currently accepting applications for a paid
Administrator in Training (AIT). This rare opportunity will allow
the chosen candidate to work and train under the tutelage of a
licensed nursing home administrator in one of our Wyoming skilled
nursing centers. Upon completion of the program, the AIT will be
eligible and prepared to take the national and state examinations
necessary to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
(NHA).
The Administrator in Training (AIT) program is intended to develop
a candidate possessing pre-requisite experience, education and
skills to become a licensed administrator of an EmpRes Healthcare
skilled nursing facility.
The candidate is required to have a bachelor's degree. This is a
full-time position with benefits. We are seeking candidates to be
future leaders of our facilities and our company.
GENERAL SUMMARY
A commitment to work at an EmpRes Healthcare-center in Wyoming for
the agreed upon time frame is required until the program is
completed. This program will focus on fundamental topics and areas
necessary to manage a skilled nursing facility within mandatory
regulatory requirements, company operating policy, financial
expectations and service delivery.
The AIT will be expected to take direction from the designated
preceptor, complete projects as assigned, openly communicate (oral
and written) with the preceptor to maximize their training and
preparation to become a licensed administrator.
Financial Management
Responsible for maintaining the Center's financial performance
within budget and established standards.
Hold Department Managers accountable for departmental fiscal
performance.
Implement effective systems to monitor and track accountability of
departments.
Quality Management
Lead process to develop/implement programs to maintain quality of
care to meet established goals.
Responsible to maintain a safe, healthy, clean, and well-organized
building that reflects a high standard of care and service.
Hold Department Managers accountable for departmental quality
performance.
Verify the Center meets state and federal requirements for
long-term care Centers for licensure.
Verify adequate and appropriate supplies are ordered and available
as needed.
Verify that guardianship is arranged as appropriate for residents
with state and legal agencies.
Verify that appropriate state and local agencies are notified of
the transfer, temporary or permanent discharge, or death of any
resident receiving Medicaid funds.
Human Resource Management
Work with RVP and others to have effective wage scales, pay
policies, and to minimize overtime.
Foster a strong, cohesive team environment which builds confidence
and strong morale.
Empower staff so that each recognizes their role in achieving and
maintaining quality of care and service to the resident.
Direct effective working relationships between departments,
encourage opportunities to meet challenges, problem-solve, and
provide creative solutions.
Ultimately accountable for the adequate staffing of the Center.
Hire and manage within Federal and State laws, and Center policies
and processes.
Facilitate communications from administrative level to staff and
vice versa to promote optimum performance and understanding of
goals.
Confirm that employee in-service training is conducted as
required.
Inform appropriate agencies of changes in Center personnel, as
required by regulations.
Physical Plant Management
Accountable for the appearance and maintenance of the Center.
Confirm equipment is in good operating condition.
Knowledge of emergency and disaster processes.
Marketing/Community Relations.
Provide focus for sales and marketing efforts to enhance and
maintain high census.
Make outside calls on physicians and discharge planners to develop
business and introduce or sell new services and/or programs.
Represent the Center in professional/community associations and
activities to promote the Center's programs and quality of
service.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
Pursuant to State of Wyoming Board of Nursing Home Administrators
(Ref. No. 079.0001.2.12192019):
Every applicant for licensure shall have earned a minimum of a
bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a body
approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
The requirement for a bachelor's degree does not apply to those
individuals who were licensed prior to the effective date of these
rules, held a current Wyoming Board of Nursing Home Administrators
license as of November 12, 1996 and have maintained active Wyoming
licensure since that date.
The requirement for a bachelor's degree may be waived for
individuals who have a minimum of an associate degree in Business
Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Long Term
Care Administration, Gerontology, Nursing or other healthcare or
business-related discipline that may be deemed acceptable at the
discretion of the Board.
