Job Description:

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Vancouver, WA. The right US Tech should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements.As a US Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the ultrasound machine and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. US Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing ultrasound testing.TasksAs a US Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performedUse sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concernPrepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with vascular ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsiesReport any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staffMaintain sonography equipment and report machinery failureConduct scan tests and write reports based on the resultsMaintain accurate patient recordsUnderstand and use the McKesson PACS systemRequirementsMust have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, RDMS National certification, and state-specific licensing when required.US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.Ultrasound Tech- Vascular. Certs required: BLS, ARDMS. Experience required: 1 Year experience. Will float as needed. OB, Vascular, Abdomen experience.
