Electrical Engineer
The primary responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer position will include all aspects of embedded systems hardware and software throughout the product development process. Other areas of involvement include leading problem-solving efforts, hands-on hardware debugging and verification, schematic design (preferably in OrCAD Capture or Altium) and managing PCB layout (preferably in Allegro/OrCAD PCB Designer or Altium).Major Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
Specify, design and implement embedded control systems for accurate positioning systems according to the product requirements.
Create designs and specifications of digital and analog electronic and electric systems for said positioners, including 1- and 3-phase high-voltage power systems, logic systems, components specifications, motion control electronics, control boxes, motors and their accompanying mechanical systems.
Code software for said systems including embedded systems software and computer interface Software.
Research and keep current with emerging technologies, determine how we might apply to Internal products and software offerings.
Develop product ideas and present to the team.
Develop new hardware systems and maintain hardware designs and upgrades when needed.
Develop software to run on new systems and maintain software for bug fixes and new features.
Develop and implement testing standards for software and hardware and communicate.

Manage projects and effectively lead the project teams to stay on track with project timelines.
Proof manuals for internal distribution on technical issues.
Support and participate in all planned training programs, performing individual on the job training sessions as well as attending training sessions.
Assist in training and supporting the sales, service and production teams.
Coordinate technical issues on products with production, engineering, sales, service, supply chain, customers and suppliers.Job Qualifications
Skills, Education, and Certifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline; Master's degree a definite plus. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure a plus but not required.
Minimum 8-10 years of proven applicable experience in electrical engineering for an industrial equipment manufacturer required.
Demonstrated leadership and proven project management experience required. Solid proficiency using CAD software. Intermediate to advanced ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must possess a wide breadth of knowledge in mathematics, physics, electrical controls, embedded systems, mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics.Technical Skills Required
Expertise in C or C++ programming for embedded systems.
Expertise in custom digital electronics design, from schematic capture and part selection through layout and route.
Expertise in test and debugging of custom digital hardware.
Expertise in PID motion control software design.
Expertise in PMSM motor control libraries such as RTCESL or FSLESL.
Expertise in Linux operating systems, especially including the device tree blob.
Expertise in RTOS multi-threaded embedded systems.Technical Skills Preferred
Familiarity with RTOS and multithreading.
Familiarity with various communications protocols (RS232, Ethernet).
Skills in high voltage electronics, mixed analog digital design.
Experience creating and running tests and simulation tools, including use of automated tools such as Labview or HPVEE.Desired Characteristics:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to explain technical.
concepts and/or present logical explanations for proposed changes.
Works well as part of a team with a personable and professional demeanor.
Works well independently with minimal supervision, personal discretion and responsibility.
