Job Description:
Our client, a leading Industrial chemical company, is currently
seeking an Senior Manager, Area Reliability & Maintenance for the
Western Region (CA, OR, WA, UT, CO, KS and British Columbia) to
join their team in the Vancouver WA area or another one of their
sites in California (Sacramento, Carson, Keyes, Torrance or City of
Industry). This individual will manage a team of 5 corporate
engineers that ensure that all plants within the region are capable
and effectively managed for safety, reliability, and efficiency in

35-40% travel (Primarily during the Fall and Spring (When most of
the turnarounds occur), and smaller amounts of travel during the
rest of the year.Principal Responsibilities:Supports the Area
Production Director in achieving key outcomes in safety,
reliability, efficiency, cost, and customer service.Leads the Area
Reliability and Maintenance team by establishing a culture of
safety in working and in the execution of all aspects of the team's
role requirements.Ensures compliance with all safety, health,
environmental and quality standards within the area.Leads a team of
multi-discipline engineers that provide technical, troubleshooting
and maintenance support for all machinery, mechanical equipment,
electrical, controls and instrumentation within all ASU, CO2, H2,
and He plants in the area.Demonstrates HPO continuous improvement
by sharing best practices employed or developed in the company and
adopt best practices identified by global peersSupports the effort
for continuous improvement through EMBRACE and Six Sigma
programsEnsures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all
plants and plant equipment within the area by:Assuring all
incidents are properly investigated, required reports are issued,
and corrective actions are completed on timeEnsuring that any and
all modifications to existing assets strictly follow the Management
of Change Process (MOC), comply with internal and external
regulatory codes, standards, and best practices, as well as provide
technical review and approval of all changes within area.Leading
the troubleshooting and repair process of any critical failed
equipment, including MOC guidance, plant/equipment outage decision
making, repair plan, and root cause analysisLeading the planning,
scheduling, and execution of short, medium and longer-term
maintenance work within the region including preventive
maintenance, repair maintenance, turnaround, and plant improvement
projectsChampioning new maintenance work processes and
collaboratively drive continuous improvement in their effectiveness
and efficiency through a comprehensive set of performance
KPIsOwning the Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Condition Based
Monitoring (CBM) programs within the area and ensuring proper
execution, effectiveness, compliance, review, and appropriate
follow-up actions of any found deficiencies.Ensuring that agreed
maintenance strategies are fully implemented at all sitesLeading
the plant equipment assessment process and annual reviews for all
sites within areaEnsuring that critical spare parts for all sites
within the area are identified in the CMMS, stocked in appropriate
warehouses with accurate inventory data, are in a condition for
immediate use and are replenished in a timely manner once
consumed.Identifying, defining, estimating, budgeting, developing,
planning and executing turnaround maintenance activities,
improvement, and major projects within the area.Being accountable
for the development, routine review, and ensuring compliance of the
repair and maintenance budget for all sites within the
areaRepresenting the area reliability interests with the Projects
Execution Team in the proposal and project commercialization
process, including scope, spares input, and new plant acceptance
and commissioning.Working with the Remote Operations Center (ROC)
to execute projects and initiatives identified to drive performance
and close performance gapsEducation/Experience
Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline -
Mechanical or Electrical PreferredMinimum 15 years of experience in
operational and engineering environmentQualifications:Interpersonal
skills:Possesses strong communications skills at all
levelsAttention to detailDemonstrated ability to follow through to
completion on projects and solutionsDemonstrated ability to manage
a cohesive team environmentDemonstrated exceptional operational
safety leadershipDemonstrated ability to challenge the status quo

skills:Knowledgeable in plant operations. Can effectively identify

qualifications:Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot
industrial equipmentProven experience in Root Cause Analysis, Cause
and Effect or FMEA methodologiesProven experience and knowledge of
predictive maintenance methodologies and technologiesProven
understanding of regulatory and industry standards and codesAir
Separation experience and knowledge preferredExperience with CMMS
systems required, SAP PM preferredSix Sigma qualification a
plus
