Land Analyst Job Description
Land Analysts will work closely with the Vice President of Land
Acquisition and Land Transaction Manager to source, prepare, and
analyze market data, financial reports, and feasibility studies to
support corporate decision-making.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis for quarterly and annual business
plans, summarizing actual and projected performance for the
division and each asset.
- Prepare financial reports, including gross revenues, profit
margins, cash flow forecasts, and break-even analysis.
- Assist in financial feasibility analysis for acquisitions
opportunities and prepare underwriting proformas and related
financial documentation.
- Perform asset sales pricing analysis and formulate financial
deal points for disposition opportunities.
- Recommend price and profit participation structures, price
escalations, and interest rates.
- Implement and maintain a computerized financial proforma model
for community planning purposes.
- Collaborate with other management associates to develop
alternative business planning scenarios and recommend an optimum
financial plan.
- Provide financial analysis data to corporate finance teams and
maintain market analysis databases for project feasibility
analysis.
- Understand competitive market trends by visiting sites and
analyzing pricing, features, and costs.
- Assist in the Greenfolder process by preparing vestacalcs,
charts, graphs, and reports.
- Formulate budgets for assigned programs and administer related
vendor contracts, change orders, and invoices.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Real Estate, Finance,
or similar discipline.
- 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of real estate and residential land
use.
- Local real estate knowledge beneficial.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and
working knowledge of mapping applications.
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and
problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
skills.

Physical and Office Requirements
Regular attendance at the Company office in Vancouver, WA during
regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires
